As the first Airbus 321XLR powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines enters commercial fleets, FL Technics is proud to support this milestone with the launch of its Airbus 321XLR Differences from Airbus 321 NEO training course – now available to maintenance organisations and airlines globally.
The Airbus 321XLR marks a major leap in single-aisle aircraft capability, offering up to 4,700 nautical miles in range and delivering a 30% reduction in fuel burn per seat compared to previous-generation competitor aircraft. Designed to meet market demands for longer routes and better economics, the Airbus 321XLR has already accumulated more than 500 orders from leading airlines across the world.
Recognising the pace of entry into service and growing market interest, FL Technics Technical Training developed a dedicated training programme to help operators transition their technical teams smoothly and effectively. The new course highlights the key differences between the Airbus 321XLR and the Airbus 321 NEO, focusing on systems, fuel configuration, and performance upgrades unique to the XLR.
“We’re fully prepared to support our clients operating the Airbus 321XLR. Our training solutions are ready to go,” said Algirdas Kadaksys, Deputy CEO of Technical Training at FL Technics. “By keeping up with the latest aircraft developments, we’re strengthening our own skills and helping our clients stay ahead too. This way, both FL Technics and our partners are ready and confident as the Airbus 321XLR enters service around the world.”
The course is delivered to FL Technics’ facilities or on location at the client’s base, ensuring flexibility and tailored support. Backed by the expertise of a global MRO leader, the training is aimed at engineers and technical personnel who already hold Airbus 321 NEO qualifications.
This launch complements FL Technic Technical Training’s wider mission to provide cutting-edge support to the world’s leading maintenance organisations and airlines. As Airbus continues delivering the Airbus 321XLR to customers worldwide, FL Technics stands ready to ensure aviation professionals are equipped with the knowledge and readiness this aircraft demands.
