Baltic Ground Services renews contracts with Ryanair at 3 Airports, continuing long-lasting partnership

International ground handling, aircraft fuel supply, and logistics service provider Baltic Ground Services (BGS) is pleased to announce the continuation of its long-standing partnership with Europe’s top airline, Ryanair. The renewed contract will see BGS provide Ryanair with into-plane fuelling services at Vilnius and Palanga airports in Lithuania, as well as Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The agreement came into effect on the 1st of April 2024 for a duration of one year.

Vitalis Dudys, BGS Group Head of Commerce, expressed his satisfaction with the contract renewal, stating, “Our commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction has been the foundation of our enduring collaboration with Ryanair. We are proud that a leading airline in the industry recognises us as a trusted and experienced partner at multiple locations.”

This contract renewal marks another milestone in the more than 8-year partnership between BGS and Ryanair. Previously, the companies had announced extending another agreement for into-plane fuelling services at Riga Airport (Latvia) and Tallinn Airport (Estonia) for an additional year.

Steven Fitzgerald, Head of Sustainability at Ryanair, commented on the partnership, saying, “As an industry leader, we expect nothing less than excellence from our chosen partners. BGS consistently meets our highest standards and expectations, delivering exceptional fuelling services since the beginning of our cooperation. We are delighted to continue working with them and anticipate further strengthening our partnership.”

Founded in 1984, Ryanair has grown to become Europe’s largest airline and the biggest in the world outside the United States. The Ireland-based airline’s extensive route network serves over 250 airports across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

BGS is a member of the Avia Solutions Group family – the world’s largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) provider, with a fleet of over 213 aircraft. Companies belonging to the Group also provide a variety of other aviation services, such as aircraft repair, pilot and crew training, and ground handling.
